Primary Research Interest
Synthesis, processing, structure and properties of polymers and polymer composites

Thematic Research Interest

• Processing and manufacturing of multicomponent polymeric systems including, polymer composites, polymer nanocomposites, rubber materials, structural foams, and advanced fiber reinforced composites,
• Microstructure-property relationship in polymers, polymer composites and polymer nanocomposites,
• Engineering of interface and interphase in polymer composites and nanocomposites,
• Engineering of hybrid nanoparticles for advanced multifunctional composites and nanocomposites,
• Smart (responsive) polymer composites for protection, monitoring, regeneration, energy storage, drug delivery, etc.,
• Development of advanced multifunctional composites for various applications including green composite friction materials for braking system, surface coatings, tissue engineering, drug delivery, supercapacitors, environmental protection, load bearing/structural composites for automotive, railroad and other sectors,
• Computational modeling including manufacturing processes (transport phenomena in polymer composite processes) and properties (mechanical, thermal and frictional properties),
