Micro/Nano BioSystems Lab (MNBS-Lab)
Our research is focused on the study of microfluidcs and nanofluidics with application in biomedical engineering. In this way we are designing lab-on-a-chip, lab-on-a-CD and lab-on-a-paper systems to separate biological species from biofluids (blood, urine. saliva, ..) to analyze them with application in healthcare. In addition, based on biomimetic of organs and microfluidcs/nanofluidics science, we are designing organ-on-chip with application in regenerative medicine and drug screening.
- Design, fabrication and simulation of microfluidic chips for co-culture and organ-on-chip.
- Using microfluidic system to separate active sperm.
- Using Bioprinter to fabricate scaffolds.
- Design, fabrication and simulation of droplet-based microfluidics.
- Design, fabrication and simulation of Lab on Disk platforms for blood analazing.
- Investigation of microfluidics channels in scaffold for tissue engineering, experimentally and simulation.
- Investigation of paper-based microfluidics for diagnostics devices.
- Investigation of cell free layer in the blood flow in microdevices, experimentally.
- Study dispersion of microparticles in water and blood flow using confocal-micro PIV system, experimentally.
